Halloween Family Costumes: The Royal Family

royal-family-01

Another family of three costume idea for you today: Will, Kate and baby Prince George! I love this one because it would be such a cinch to pull together and very current. Brushen up on your English accents and use this as an excuse to finally dress up baby in that one special but impractical vintage outfit you’ve been saving for forever.

Thank you to OUR royal family, Matt, Heather and baby May Mildenstein. Photography by Ashley Thalman. Styling by  Sarah Larsen and her assistant Stephanie Larsen. Produced by site manager Ashley Aikele with creative direction by myself, Liz Stanley.

Dutchess Kate: Structured formal dress (Heather’s is from Shabby Apple), vintage shoes and hat. Maybe even bring along some pickles and ice cream.

Baby Prince George: Vintage romper, knee socks, vintage shoes or maybe an excuse to buy some freshly picked moccs (all the celeb babies wear them or don’t you know?). Crown made from a cut up toilet paper roll that was spray painted gold and then they attached a ribbon (brilliant, right?). Royal tantrums and fancy wooden baby toys highly encouraged.

Prince William: Thrifted jacket that they added felt to with hot glue and constructed medals with ribbon and dollar store badges sprayed gold. They clipped the collar halfway in to fasten around his neck. A satin ribbon sash, black slacks, and black dress shoes.
