We are just back from a wonderful Fourth of July weekend camping up in the Trinity Alps. I hope you had a lovely one as well! I have pictures to share of course soon. This one above is actually not from our camping trip but from an evening at Ocean beach right by our house here in San Francisco last week, after which we shared delicious pie shakes with some friends. Have you ever tried a pie shake? It was our first time and why on earth didn’t I know about this place years ago, especially since it happens to be in the neighborhood we used to live in! A huge piece of your favorite slice of pie blended up with the most delicious ice cream (like, say, lemon cookie ice cream?). HEAVEN in a cup I tell you. Oh and perfectly summery.
