DIY: Simplest Wool Laptop Sleeve

I’m super honored to be featured in Grosgrain’s Free Pattern Month showing you how to make this super easy wool laptop sleeve. It’s great when you don’t want to bring a whole laptop bag. I just put it in my purse and head to the coffee shop or wherever I’m doing work. I promise guys, it’s the easiest thing you’ll ever sew- perfect for a beginning sewing project. Don’t you think it would make a great Father’s Day gift too?

I’m really honored to be included in her series. Kathleen is a sewing genius, as well as all of the other bloggers featured. I’m really enjoying the series and have already bookmarked a bunch of great tutorials. All of the other real seamstresses featured surely are laughing at my tutorial, “I bet my 8 yr old could make that with their eyes closed and a lollipop in one hand”. Yup. You’re absolutely right.  Check out the whole tutorial right here.

Hello. Thanks so much for this free tutorial! I just finished making it the other day and am so happy with it. I added quilted lining to protect it a bit more as you can see hereI'm a complete beginner, starting sewing pretty much from scratch, and the only hard thing about this pattern was the lining I added myself. What a great project for a beginner! Thank you!

Totally cute! Looks so easy to make! Love it.Homeowner Insurance

Elizabeth, ooh yes I forgot to mention that. I used the selvedge to avoid making a hem in the front. Thanks for the reminder!

Ooh I'm totally going to make this. So cute! I noticed there's not a hem on the front, it that cut on the selvedge?

Sarah, exactly! I just throw it in my purse and we're good to go

This is nice if you want to take it somewhere, but don't want to bring the entire laptop back with all the bells and whistles- Sarahhttp://agirlintransit.blogspot.com/
