Four weeks old

I’ve been wanting to blog but all I have to say are little daily snippets of life with a newborn. Those don’t seem very interesting to blog about but I’ll fill you in anyway.

Three weeks after my c section seems to be the magic number. All of a sudden I felt like I could walk around and be productive. I’ve started walking the avenues hills with Henry in a sling to begin to get back into shape. I’m anxious to start jogging in a couple weeks. I’ve missed it.

Jared has this nuisance of a thing called a job that requires him to be away from our baby Hank for extended periods of time during the day. It’s pretty lame. But when he comes home he holds him and stares at him most of the evening. It’s so cute to see Jared as a dad.

Our little boy is getting more alert every day and although I like to think he’s starting to sleep better, I think he just has good days and bad. Mostly he’s just super cute and when I have to get up every hour in the middle of the night to see what the fuss is about, he makes me laugh. Twice in the middle of the night during a diaper change he has shown off his rectal muscles with an explosion of poo projected onto the perfectly painted wall, new laundry basket, breast pump and homemade throw pillows.
What a guy.

It’s always great to have the projective poop!Man, I already miss the infant days. Time goes by to fast!

He is so beautiful! Your Dad gave me a good report about Hank at church today. I can’t wait to meet him.
