Are you good at organizing a shelf to be both practical storage and aesthetically pleasing? I always like to look through my inspiration files when I’m diving into this particularly tricky decorating task.

Almost every beautiful shelf I bookmark, when closely examined, is subtly organized by some kind of very balanced and deliberate color scheme.

See what I mean? Much harder than it looks though, don’t you think? Any tips for doing this well?
