A house ready for nesting

Yesterday we got all new carpet upstairs and in the baby’s room downstairs. It feels like a new house now that construction is finally done. I smiled the whole time I vacuumed up the carpet remains. Above is a peak into our baby’s room with new carpet, new lighting, an extended closet to fit the slanted stairs ceiling, and a new paint job thanks to yours truly (don’t worry, it was low VOC paint). It makes me so happy to finally be at the point where all I need to do is organize organize organize to get ready for the baby. Yeah for nesting! Yeah for the end of dust and clutter! In preparation for organization and general third trimester pregnancy maneuvering, I did some measurements. I am an inch wider front to back than I am side to side which is invaluable in calculating how I will go about squeezing my largeness around various objects and people I encounter day to day. It will be tough to fight the urge to turn sideways moving about. Last night we moved Jared’s computer stuff out of the dining room and into the office upstairs (which I also painted last week), and then I went to bed all ready to start fresh today with my organization scheme but woke up with a sore throat and a cold. I spent most of the day today resting and dreaming of all the things I’m going to organize and maneuver around straight on instead of sideways…. soon.

Wow! Love that baby blue and the color of the carpet. Wish I could be there to make you some homemade chicken noodle soup! Feel better.

Liz ~ get better and then enjoy the fun of getting ready and organized for the baby! Sounds like everything is falling into place perfectly.

What fun!! Getting ready for baby!I remember when I was preg. with Robin, I was in charge of the Primary program. In front of the entire ward I turned sideways to fit between the piano and the organ, didn’t fit, and had to walk all the way around to the pulpit, while everyone laughed.

Your a busy busy lady! But it is easier to paint every room in the house at the same time… enjoy nesting…

That’s my next project, maybe after Thanksgiving (and this darn cold) I’ll get a video tour together.

When are we going to get a full tour of the newly renovated house?
