Weekend Roundup

(From a hike this past week in Lands End)

Things are looking up! I think we’ve found a new place (hopefully signing a lease today and then I can’t wait to tell you all about every detail of it!), the rain seems to be gone for a while and Jared is home with no more traveling in sight. Hooray! Plus, I bought this adorable vintage dress on etsy. I can’t wait to pick it up at the cleaners today and spin around in it this weekend at the park.

Other things to brighten your weekend:

Love this time lapse video of a tape installation at the Kate Spade store in Soho. Beautiful result!

Striped paper goody bags. Is spring finally here?

Loved reading about Rubyellen’s typical day with photos. Wait, you don’t pick fresh greens in the garden for your husband’s packed lunch? Hm.

Is the pendant banner pattern the new hot stripe?

Time for a chocolate chip cookie bake-off: this one vs. this one. You bake, I’ll judge the winner.

This weekend I’m joining in {a little late} with One Pearl Button in a sew along. We’re making this skirt, come join in!

Plus, a few new to me blogs I’m enjoying reading:
Elephantine
Smart Alec
One Pearl Button
Here’s Looking at Me Kid

Hi Liz, thanks for the link love. Your blog is so beautiful. Keep in touch! (We're in Berkeley.)

What adorable gingerbread cookies! Those are something my two boys would enjoy. Thanks so much for linking to my fudge recipe!

Great round-up. I'm a huge fan of nutella and now I want to make that nutella fudge. I recently made play dough with nutella. can't beat the smell.

I'm just looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow morning 🙂

brooke, i'm still researching but i'll let you know what i find/what the results are!

Do you have a good gingerbread recipe? I have one but the gingerbread men are always hard and a little taste-less. But I really want to make some this season.

That Project Runway post had me cracking up. That episode was so full of drama, and then Tim Gunn made me love him even more than I already did for reading Gretchen the riot act. I just love that man!

Thanks for the link to my floor cushion…I can't wait to see yours made!!

I just bought a cake painting!! the orange 2 tier cake with a light pink background. i fell in love with them when you first posted them and now i'm so glad to be able to have one! thanks for posting 🙂
