Anyone who knows me knows my obsession with this artist named Sufjan Stevens. I was introduced to him about a year ago and have rarely listened to any other artist in my 30 minute commute this entire school year. My favorite albums are Illinois and Seven Swans, although Michigan is also excellent. Jared recently bought me one of his earlier CDs which was very experimental but had a few awesome songs, one called Super Sexy Woman, which just rocks.
Sufjan just came out with a new CD called ‘The Avalanche’. I just bought it today and it’s awesome, of course.
Sufjan is coming to NYC in September. I bought tickets on Saturday 5 minutes after they went on sale and got awesome seats. So excited. I heard he’s playing with a full orchestra in a full concert hall. Every concert I’ve been of his has been absolutely spell binding. I can’t wait.

I’m with you Liz. I loooooove sufjan. His music is like the Book of Mormon, everytime you listen you hear something new, or something different stands out. He is so talented. I can’t wait to rock it with you in Sept.
