It’s last call for stone fruit at the farmer’s market! I visited my local cheese shop and asked for a few recommendations for the best summer fruit + cheese pairings to complement Blue Diamond Almonds and their Crafted Gourmet line, here’s what we came up with…
Whenever I take the time to buy cheese at my local cheese shop down the street, I never regret it. The owner is so helpful and knowledgeable, directing me to the best options for whatever event we’re shopping for. He’s also excellent at recommending flavor pairings. Sometimes I can get great service at Whole Foods or other gourmet stores as well, but the cheese shop is next level quality and service.
Last week I walked in with my bags of fruit from the farmer’s market and he helped me come up with some really amazing fruit and cheese combinations to try alongside the Blue Diamond Crafted Gourmet Almonds. Have you tried them yet? The flavors are so good, great for sophisticated snacking, and fantastic paired with cheese and fruit. This time, we used the Rosemary and Sea Salt, which I have to say might be my very favorite. Just the right balance of flavor and texture.
Stone Fruit + Washed Rind Cheese. Grab the last of those peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, pluots, etc. The juicier the fruit the better! For the cheese you want something super soft (brie could work as well). Really, any stinky soft cheese will work but here’s the scoop on washed rind cheese if you’re interested.
Apples + Sharp Cheddar. This is my favorite late night snack. I almost always have a block of Vermont’s Cabot Cheddar in the fridge to eat with a crunchy, sweet apple like a fuji or jazz variety. It’s also great in a salad together too. Apple season is starting now and I’m sooo excited about it!
All four of these we paired with the Rosemary + Sea Salt flavor of Crafted Gourmet Almonds and they were fantastic. Such a versatile flavor and that classic crunch + reliable quality from Blue Diamond Almonds is always a hit.
Feta cheese with grapes and feta cheese with watermelon for the Greeks!!! My summer memories!
These look so good! I totally need to get on board with the cheese boards!

Try Grafton Cheddar from Vermont. Cabot’s is good but Grafton is the best.
Yum, these pairings are spot on! Thanks for the suggestions! 🙂
