I feel so lucky to have an amazing group of woman to help create, brainstorm content, and work behind the scenes here at Say Yes. Last weekend, our Say Yes team took a staycation retreat in San Francisco. It mostly involved eating (as a proper San Francisco trip should), and lots of pampering. Here’s the play by play if you’d like to see…
The Palace Hotel was kind enough to put us all up in their historic midtown hotel. It was at the heart of everything! Right in front of the subway on Market Street, and walking distance to many of the main attractions of the city. I’ve stayed at this hotel before with the family and have been always super impressed with everything: the comfiest beds, and incredible pool, over the top hospitality, and the luxurious feel to this historic hotel. Ghirardelli has an ice cream shop right in the building as well! I highly recommend this hotel for those visiting San Francisco.
The team at Tailored Salon was topnotch. I had just had my hair re-dyed and cut, and they knew exactly how to treat it so I wouldn’t lose the silvery white tone I was really into. They also had some great tips for maintaining my color like this Kevin Murphy Blonde Angel Shampoo and Conditioner. The whole event was so much fun and it made me think about how much more enjoyable this was than a typical girls night out to a dinner or movie. Well, Tailored Salon read my mind. They’re now offering pampering nights out, called Treat Yo’ Self, where you can schedule a time to come with girlfriends for a full service experience! I’m so excited about this, and hoping to book another evening back soon. More info on their new Treat Yo’ Self events here.
Afterwards, it was 80s night at Rickshaw Stop. We boogied down for an hour or so alongside some pretty serious 80s fans, until calling it quits a bit after midnight. I can’t wait to go back there again, maybe for The Smiths night??
Next we headed to Onsen SF, a traditional Japanese bathhouse in midtown. I’ve been wanting to go for months now and I’m so into it! Henry and I visited a few bathhouses when we went to Japan a couple years ago and loved them so much. There were so many details in the Onsen SF that they got just right like the typography, robes, and bath towels, even the Japanese restaurant attached is supposed to be incredible! They have womens and mens only days, or co-ed (swimsuit days). We picked a co-ed one so we could wear swimsuits. A hot bath, cold plunge, and the most incredible sauna and steam room. Plus, and ambiance was so so good. Saturday mornings they have a $20 deal too!
On the way home we jumped into the Women’s March down Market straight to our hotel. Such an inspiring event, even though we were a bit unprepared without signs or our pussyhats.
The bathhouse looks soooo inviting! And such a fun action-packed team retreat!

that place is magical!
The Palace looks amazing. I tried to look at dates/rates online, but it won’t let me put in a 2 adult/3 kid combo for one room, which is our family size. I know that it’s yours as well, so I’m wondering if you just claimed two kids? Or got two rooms?
We did have two adjoining rooms!
What a wonderful experience the team had! So awesome that you guys jumped into the Woman’s March. Very admirable! 🙂

That was one of my favorite parts!
