It’s easy to create holiday gifting drama with little kids because there are so many inexpensive gifts that it seems like they’re swimming in presents. Wrapping Tip for Big Little Gifts
The idea is similar to nesting dolls, wrapping box after box inside each other. A fun and dramatic game game that makes the gift seems see huge, but as the boxes get smaller and smaller they’ll realize the gift is actually quite small (but still very special).
To start, you’ll need some boxes that fit inside each other. I found a great set here. We ended up using every other size to make sure they would fit after being wrapped. For real drama, you want to make each one look like it really could be the final box. Fancy wrapping, ribbon, trimmings, etc. If you’re giving just one special gift, go all out!
We added a few hand stamped notes along the way to add even more anticipation like “keep going”, “almost there”, and “not yet”. Creating drama with each added layer. Focus on the goal: you want the receiver to be exhausted from wrapping and trimmings by the time they get down to the last little box!
