We’re making a decadent holiday treat today in partnership with fairlife ultra-filtered milk: hot chocolate french toast! It may sound like a breakfast food, but it’s definitely a dessert because we top it with ice cream and sundae toppings like peppermint, hot fudge, and coconut. Here’s a little film we made about it…
We are huge fans of fairlife ultra-filtered milk here at our home, have you tried it? It’s 50% more protein and half the sugar of regular milk. There are a few varieties you can choose from: skim, 2%, chocolate (so good!), SuperKids (3.5x the DHA Omega-3 compared to the leading DHA Omega-3 milk), and many more. Plus, it’s absolutely delicious and I can feel really good about feeding it to my family.
For our holiday recipe today we got in our Christmas pjs and made a fun little film together with Jenner Brown:
Hot Chocolate French Toast
1 cup fairlife 2% or whole milk
2-4 tablespoons of hot cocoa mix
3 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons butter
8 slices thick of challah bread
Warm milk with hot cocoa mix to dissolve. Add in eggs, vanilla, and salt. Dip your challah bread in the hot cocoa eggy mixture, and cook as you would regular french toast.
Top with ice cream and any other sundae topping you like! We loved the hot fudge, crushed peppermint, and coconut. Delicious!
