We grabbed some scraps of fabric in red and pink colors, a little silver leather scraps, and some natural ribbon. Toddler crafts need to be super simple so we tried to make it open ended and focus more on the process of creating. We cut out some hearts and glued them onto the ribbon to make a garland. They loved talking about the colors, patterns, and different textures of the fabrics. Edie liked the pink velvet best, “This is like my ballerina dress, mama!”.
We added mini pom poms as well (toddlers love mini pom poms!). Fabric doesn’t work well with regular glue, we used Fabritak to glue them onto the ribbon.
Lion is happy, energetic little 3 yr old. You might remember our post with Jess last year about home schooling her three children. Every day they spend a couple of hours hiking and playing outside (amazing, right??), so I picked an outfit for Lion that was well suited for outdoor adventures, including these sturdy boots for hiking around with his older siblings. I love how affordable Kohl’s clothing is. Easy to shop for, always discounts going on, and huge selection of great styles for these fast growing kids.
Edie going through a serious princess/pink/dress phase right now. Pink and purple are her favorite colors, and if the dress doesn’t spin and twirl like a ballerina, she’s not into it. There were a lot of feminine options in Kohl’s Jumping Beans line, but I thought this sweet flutter sleeve dress $12 would be perfect for her (and for Valentine’s Day). She’ll be wearing these cute white sandals $34 a ton this summer too.
Hang the fabric heart garland on your shelf for a little festive decoration on Valentine’s Day.
Here are two more looks I picked out for Edie and Lion:
Thanks to Kohl’s for sponsoring this post and making cute, affordable clothing for the whole family.
