Thinking of all you in the Midwest, East, and South boarded up in your homes against mother nature this week. Freezing weather and blizzards are inconvenient enough, but also produce antsy + restless kids. I thought I’d share few favorite ideas from the archives here to keep the little ones entertained while you wait out the arctic chill. I also shared a few kid craft ideas for snowy days on babble as well. Stay warm, friends!
First words book: A really special project to work on for a child or with an older child for a younger one
Two fun + messy art projects :Great for antsy kids stuck indoors all day
Salad spinner spin art: This is still one of Henry’s favorite things to do!
Cool whip marshmallows: What kid wouldn’t want to make their own custom shaped marshmallows for hot cocoa?
Alphabet cookies :Crafting that involves cookies is a no-brainer
Rainbow crayons: To get rid of all those small bits of crayons in your bin and make something pretty
Also, a roundup of favorite Say Yes to Hoboken posts from 2013
