Tis’ the season for campfires, lakeside shenanigans, wilderness hikes and all things outdoors! Hooray! Both my parents are teachers so every summer as a child was spent on three month long camping extravaganzas. Basically if you asked me to describe childhood, camping would be the word for mine.
The lake pictured was (and still is) my favorite place to visit. Tenaya
Lake, in the Yosemite Valley is formed by glacial activity, and the bottom of the lake is solid smooth granite! So much fun was had by slipping, sliding, and splashing in the lake. Not to mention the view!
