Homemade Almond Granola Bars, Packaged Three Ways

This post is sponsored by Blue Diamond Almonds. Grab a can or carton of good and Get Your Good Going.

I love making neighbor gifts, do you? I try to make them a priority every holiday season. I’ve shared my homemade vanilla extract, and contributor Sarah shared her orange cranberry cakes recipe too. Today I’ve got a yummy granola bar idea made with whole Blue Diamond Almonds, coconut, and various dried fruits. They’re healthy (mostly) which means you can eat way more of those butter cream frosting topped Christmas cookies after the kids go to bed.

The packaging was really fun too to experiment with too! These packaging ideas are great for any small treats and gifts. Not just for granola bars!

Keep reading for instructions on making these homemade granola bars and the packaging…

For the homemade granola bars I followed this recipe but used whole almonds, added other dried fruit I had around, and a little corn syrup so it stays chewy.

Here are some details on the packaging:

1. Wrap small boxes with festive upholstery trim. I added a natural tag and hand stamped note (I love these alphabet stamps from Paper Source. I use them for everything!).

2. Stamp simple muslin bags with a message. The tree stamp was really easy to make, instructions on making one right here.

3. Using this ‘handmade’ template I made (for use with these labels), print out stickers and add your homemade item in stamps or hand written. Attach to a plain brown kraft bag. I used Japanese masking tape to add some festivity as well.

Hmm, they’re all cute but if this gift were for me, I’d like to get treats in the brown paper bag! Reminds me of the old fashioned candy store we would visit as kids. 🙂
