• DIY: Hot Air Balloon Lantern

Have you ever taken a ride in a hot air balloon? Me neither. Mr. Zebra has quite the life floating above Henry’s bedroom like a king, surveying the scene. I think I’m going to make him a mini king’s crown. See my tutorial for transforming a Chinese lantern into a hot air balloon right here at Momtastic.

I have taken a hot air balloon ride in New Mexico! It was a lot of fun and had beautiful view but there were some things I did not expect. 1). I had to sign a wavier that if landing in the water, on someone's property, etc etc they company wasn't responsible. 2). Obviously you have fire and the hot air making the balloon rise but in the middle of the summer in an already hot state it was definitely a little too hot in the balloon for my taste. 3). The rough landing! We were told how to brace ourselves. Our balloon hit, then bounced, then skidded onto it's side. And you have to stay put until you are told to get out or the balloon could take off again.
